What to do in Occitanie? 0ur inspiration to discover Southern France

Here, we share our inspiration to explore our corner of Occitanie at a gentler pace. Practical ideas to pick from depending on the season and what you feel like. Nature and wide-open spaces, heritage and villages, culture, events, encounters, and foodie stops.
These are our discoveries, often around Castelnaudary, between the Lauragais, the Canal du Midi, the Montagne Noire, the Pyrenees. We explore too cities like Toulouse and Carcassonne for an easy getaway.

Ideas for every moment

Fancy a Sunday morning cycle ride along the Canal du Midi? A weekend hike in the Montagne Noire? Wandering through a characterful village or tracking down the best cassoulet in the area? You will find suggestions here for every mood and every season.
Our articles mix genuine favourites, practical tips, and easy-going routes… No exhaustive lists, but rather real discoveries, the ones we started sharing with our guests and wanted to share more widely. From the Saturday morning market to a waterside guinguette, from a family stroll to the cultural event of the moment. The real challenge will be choosing!

Occitanie at your own pace

Whether you live nearby or you are just passing through, a local or a curious visitor, our approach stays the same: take your time, step off the beaten path when it makes sense, and savour this generous region. Occitanie is discovered as much through its iconic places as through everyday little moments and above all through the people who live here.
